Thunder and lightning ushered Luke’s entrance into this world. If you have not heard yet, exactly four years ago – Typhoon Hato, the strongest typhoon with T10 level was hammering Hong Kong when Luke decided to have his arrival two weeks early of his due date.
So while waiting for his arrival (or her arrival as we decided to keep the gender a surprise), Aaron and I decided to make sure his name would hold his story. I suggested Stormborn (obviously a GOT fan!). But Aaron said it was too much. So we settled for Storm. Luke Storm.

So yeah, Luke Storm turns four today. If you noticed, it was a perfectly sunny day this morning, but since it’s my storm-born boy’s day, somehow it must rain. I know it could just be because it is rainy season, but it would also not hurt to believe otherwise.
We had a simple celebration today. Luke only wanted to go to Ryze and jump on a trampoline. So he and I played with with his toy cars in the morning and then I managed to convince (aka bribe) him to pose for a few pictures with this rooster plushy.

After we picked up Aya at her new school, we granted his birthday wish and went together to Ryze to jump just like ninjas – his latest obsession inspired by Ninjago.

Speaking of ninjas – last Sunday, we hosted a ninja-themed birthday party at our humble abode for Lukey, just as he wanted. He asked for his best friends to join him.

Because the weather was not so fine the past weekends, it made us stay indoors and helped us prepare and be creative for Lukey’s ninja party.

So back to this morning, I think about 3am or 4am, Lukey stormed into Aaron and my bedroom to cuddle and continue his sleep. I woke up slightly, smiled and welcomed our boy who turns four today to our bed. Some would hate this set up, but for me and Aaron – we are scared of the day he’ll stop doing this. For now, we’ll enjoy his wee hours of sleep interruptions for unlimited cuddles while we still can.
