There are loads of reasons to smile today but top of the list is — our first born just turned six!

It’s crazy how just one day I pushed out into this world a teeny tiny human weighing only 3.6kgs. Now, she’s more than half my height, with long curly hair, smart, artistic, strong-willed, and sometimes (thank goodness only sometimes), she’s already answering me back! Oh Aya…
So before I get all teary eyed and emotional, I want to say how proud I am of this little big girl who planned her birthday, as well as her party, exactly how she wanted it to be (of course with a little help from her parents!). For today, she made an itinerary. If you look closely at her list, not one thing is super grand. She mostly just wanted to spend time with her family doing the things she loves the most. Ah… our six years old reminds us of the most important things in life — time!

Last Sunday, Aya had her crystal themed birthday party which she also planned herself. She listed the friends she wanted to join, baked her own birthday cake, and even helped prepare decorations and the party venue. Talk about responsibility!

Since the party was on a Sunday, we knew parents were going to drop by with their little ones. So we planned a grazing table where there would be treats for kids and adults alike. We strategically placed the sweets and snacks around the edge of the table for easy access. And yep, they got quickly devoured!

Auntie Angela – a big hit!

The Pinoy Power
I remembered clearly how a colleague said there’s only one thing about kids he would like to share with me: “time flies! Cliche but true.” No matter, this little big girl will always be our baby.

Crystal themed party! I love it! Might have to steal the idea for myself. Wish I could have been there 💕💕💕
